What pump did you decide to use, Tony? I will need to get one for the small block, since the temporary engine I plan to use is a late model, sans fuel pump casting on the timing cover. I have read some stuff about them wearing out early in carbureted applications, since they are typically designed for EFI installations. Do you have recommendations?
Thanks!

The fuel pump regulator looks to be designed to blow back into the tank but would have to ask Holley tech to be sure. The tank inside has a center support that doubles as a baffle
Here is the gravity 1/4" tap. This is good as it is off the bottom to catch trash. The Holley Hydramat is designed as a pump screen/filter as well as prevent fuel pump starvation under hard driving.

Wow, looks like a lot of work, Tony! Did you cut the hole in the tank or was it already there for the sender unit?

I cut it with a 3 1/4" hole saw. It wasn't that much work. Waiting to get all the bits and pieces in that I ordered put more time on the project. Now back to cleaning parts
