Brown haze on ceramic coated side pipes

The side exhaust pipes and tubular exhaust headers on my 289 FIA Cobra (UMC # 9299) have begun to acquire a pattern of tiny points of brown (assumed to be rust) which are beginning to give a faint but unsightly brown haze appearance to the once beautiful silver ceramic coating. What is the suggested method of repair and if it is to respray with a ceramic coating, can Jet-Hot or some other ceramic coating process be sprayed on over the existing original UMC build ceramic coating? Eagle One Never Dull (in the little silver cans) will buff those annoying brown spots out, unless they are actually chips in the ceramic from rocks thrown by the front wheels. It will still get the brown discoloration off, though, even if it can't fix the chip.

For brown showing up on the weld seams where the mufflers are welded into the sidepipes, you can use Mother's Mag & Aluminum Polish and a toothbrush.

Both of these can also be used to soften road tar spots on the pipes to the point that you can then scrape the tar off with your fingernail. Never Dull will also removed melted-on nylon from your sidepipes, but it takes a little more patience to buff something like that off.

Those neat battery powered tooth brushes really help make this an easy task, especially in the corners of leather, etc.

You might also check to make sure where your remote oil lines attach to engine block isn't leaking. It can throw small spots of oil onto the header and will create brown stains.
