What backspace is used when using pin drive wheels?

I realize that there are multiple options for wheels and offsets, but I think that the rear axles and control arms are altered (length) depending on what you choose. (The knock-off adapters necessitate the shorter parts and different shocks.)

The real question might be "what is the difference in the flange-to-flange measurement between pin-drives and bolt-ons"... which would make it easier to decide what you want.

I imagine several folks with more knowledge have the answer to this and will be along to post the info before long.

Also, if you have some special wheels, I would imagine that the Weavers could accomodate any offset requirements, though you'd need to check with them for the details. They are a very talented bunch[thumb]!

Thanks Paul. I asked because Vintage Wheels makes their Halibrand pin-drive wheels with 3.6" or 4.0" BS.
