I am planning on using American Racing Torq Thrust wheels (15x8 and 15x10) on my upcoming 289FIA build, Do bolt-on wheels use different width control arms and IRS axles? What backspacing and bolt circle is used?

Thanks
Bill D

If you run 10" wheels on the rear you need the same axles we use on a pin drive wheel, they are 2" shorter than bolt on wheel axles.

Thanks Mr. Weaver. How about the front?

BillD,

I don't want to intrude, but something to consider if you think you might ever switch wheels or go to the bigger brake upgrade that is offered as an option. I also chose an american racing wheel. I went with the shelby / cobra version. I love the wheels, but was going to get the bigger brakes and calipers, but Alan pointed out they would not fit with the wheels I chose. As far as I know, the other A/R line of wheels will fit, but if a brake upgrade may be in your future, double check with Alan first.
thanks,
Eddie

Thanks Eddie
I don't plan on going to bigger brakes. I like the AR Torq Thrus 'D's and plan on going with them

The standard American Racing front offset is perfect.
