Rick,

You don't have the market cornered with a red car.

Kelly, knew I should have it painted orange!

Seriously though, I know of two of them aside from mine and am interested in how many where made and how many are still living.

I don't understand your question, what do you mean by roadster like yours. The difference in your car is age, we didn't have the suppliers then that we have now so the car has changed quite a bit. If you want to know how many of the older bodied cars are out there it is probably in the 300 range. Hope this helps.

Rick,
This is your roadster, right?

Thanks Alan. It was my understanding that the body on my car was the street version of the big block car. That is what I am calling 'roadster'. Does that help or am I naturally confused!

Wikipedia defines a roadster as a North American term that stipulates no top or roll-up windows. Fits the bill.

Rick, your car has our standard body without a roll bar, that was the only difference.

Rick,
I think your hoodpin set up would throw people off.

Your car is a early Unique like mine #3025
Biggest standout difference is the lack of rear wheel flairs..as in 427 street car
also provision for hood pins
My car is undergoing complete reconstruction and updating, a 2yr+ project
In talking to Maurice, I understood that the molds were pulled from a street car, but he also said that the molds have been redone several times
I don't recall all the details but I bet he does.
I should do a build series on the club site but keep putting off starting, as far as my build I thought about updating the body with wheel flairs but decided to do a street car with undercar exausts and no holds barred step headders all inside the main frame rails.....nightmare....only room for 10 1/2 bellhousing, change of motormounts, change of crossmember, pipes through frame crossmember etc, etc; but coming togather
Anyway I would guess that you are asking about the early cars but there would have to be some cut off feature as the cars evolved probably with no 2 being exactly alike
regards
Ed

That is along the lines of what I am looking for Ed! No fender flares, mold from a street car, etc.

Rick,
Now that you've clarified the "roadster" - I guess that's my goal as well - a street version of the car.
I didn't do a roll bar and eliminated the flares. Also there will be no hood pins or visible latches for that matter on the hood.
