Hi Yony:
Looks like you will be having your car from the painter at about the time I get mine to Unique. We will have to compare build photos. I enjoy seeing your build photos.

Tony,
It's a lot easier to get those rad hoses figured out before you get the body on. Good luck!

Thanks Phil,
I just finished them up today. I am going to take the tubes I made to the powder coater this week.

Added beads to pipes I made because of all the blow offs I read on searching the web site for info.
http://www.uniquecobra.com/uploaded/Naumoff/Radiator hoses and pipes 005edit.JPG
Made a third short pipe because it was twisting the water pump hose to make it work and I didn't like that.

pressure tested the upper pipe with thermoswitch tap before powder coating.

I am still having fun:D

I would look at a Ceramic Coating on the pipes, better than powdercoating.

Tony,
I've got the number of the coaters who did my pipes in Fredericksburg, VA, if you need it. They do a very nice job, and a bunch of CACC folks use them.

Thanks,
Clay I would like the ceramic coaters #. I was thinking how would the powdercoat hold up in the cooling system.
Rick do you think the powder coating would be ok or not good at all?
Thanks again for the input,
Tony

Mine was powder coated recently. After 500 miles, no signs of heat stress. Looks as good as the day it went on.

Tony,
The local ceramic coaters used by a lot of people around here is. 540-752-6133. They're very nice guys, and use the same process as Jet Hot.

Long term the ceramic coating is more durable than the powder coating and in my opinion looks better. It's up to you.

Thaks all for the input.
Thanks Clay for the phone #.
Everyones input is valuable to me. It helps me make better choices for my build. I have already made some major changes on what I wanted in my Cobra just on information from this website and CC.
It's best to get info from people who have already spent there money and have it or not have it anymore on their car.
