[?]Just found out that my 427 SO from Southern Automotive Engines has a High Capacity Canton Oil Pan (#15-810) not a Road Race Pan.
Called and talked to Susan today and she advised me that unless you specify a Road Race Pan it will come with the High Capacity Pan which looks the same. There is an up cost for the Road Race Pan of 75.00. The only difference is the Road Race Pan (#15-820) is 13" wide the other is 12 1/2" wide. There are numbers etched in the front passenger side of the pan. So when you look at the specifacions and it says "Canton Racing Oil Pan" it means Canton High Capacity 8 QT Pan. So if your Road Racing with the 15-810 you may want to change pans. Butch Capps at Mid South Gear has the Canton Road Race Pans for 270.00, plus the oil pick up has got to be changed. Dont know about the Windsor Engines, probably the same deal. Just some things you need to check out.[?]
